As a special feature, because you were interested enough to find my web page, I've included some poems that haven't been published anywhere else. I hope you like them.
All poems are copyright 2007 by Deby Fredericks. Please ask me first before you reprint them anywhere or use them in your classroom.
Signs of Spring
by Lucy Ford
The sun may shine above,
And green leaves may sprout,
But you'll know it's really spring
When the spiders come out!
Silly Moon
by Lucy Ford
The sun shines in the daytime,
And stars at night are seen,
But silly moon will rise and set
Day or night or in between!
Climbing Time
by Lucy Ford
I see a rock and I have to climb,
Don't care if we're short on time.
From up on top the view is fine,
I feel as if the world is mine.
Shush Go the Leaves
by Lucy Ford
Shush, shush, shush,
Go the leaves as I walk.
I wonder why the leaves
Don't want me to talk?
Winter Trees
by Lucy Ford
Snowflakes, falling in the night,
Dress up all the trees with white.
Sledding --
From the height of the slope,
Flying --
With a sound like thunder,
Crashing --
Making a crooked snow angel,
Running --
Up the hill to go again,
Sledding!
