Deby Fredericks
writing for kids as Lucy D. Ford

Deby Fredericks has been a writer all her life, but viewed it as just a fun hobby until
the late 1990s. Her first professional sale, a children's poem, was in 2000.

Her short fiction has appeared in Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine, Song of the Siren electronic magazine, and others. She has five fantasy novels in print. The Grimhold Wolf (2015) and The Seven Exalted Orders (2012) are published by Sky Warrior Books. Dragon Moon Press published The Magister's Mask (2004), Too Many Princes (2007) and The Necromancer's Bones (2009). Her podcast, The Weight of Their Souls, aired in winter of 2013.

Fredericks also writes and podcasts for kids as Lucy D. Ford. "Lucy" has had short stories and poetry published in magazines such as Boys' Life, Babybug, Ladybug, and Spider.

She podcasted a middle grade novel called Masters of Air and Fire in 2012. This has now been published by Sky Warrior Books. A second podcast, The Dragon King, followed the same year. Her young adult series, Elfin Legacy, is thus far unpublished.
